Established in 2003, Marketecture is a fast growing, award-winning independent b2b agency made up of a team of over 25 marketing and creative professionals. Based in MediaCityUK, Manchester, the company offers an integrated marketing agency support service with particular expertise in branding, digital strategy, web design, PR/Content and lead generation campaign development. The agency works with a wide range of clients globally including FTSE and fast growth mid-market companies such as The Financial Times, Reed Elsevier, DHL, Mitel, Monitise, Airwave Solutions, Outsauce and London Business School.


Having recently moved to a new office at Manchester’s new creative hub, MediaCityUK, Marketecture wanted to create eye-catching graphics for walls, windows and furniture to brand their new space.


The Marketecture office is an open plan space divided up into zones, informal meeting hubs, pods and formal meeting rooms, so it was important that the graphics helped to create distinct areas to represent their function. With floor to ceiling windows and views over Manchester, the bright and airy feel needed to be retained, with any graphics complementing the space rather than overwhelming it. One of the management offices had a large window that was next to a corridor, and whilst the team didn’t want to lose the light, a little more privacy was required. The team brought over office cabinets from their previous premises, which needed to be updated in line with the new ‘theming’ and décor.


A site audit was conducted to take measurements of each wall, window and in particular the cabinets that needed to be covered. Using Marketecture’s design and artwork the following graphics were produced:
  • One meeting hub (also known as Switzerland) was treated to wall graphics featuring a mountain range landscape printed on digital wallpaper.
  • The cabinets and the wall behind them were covered with self-adhesive vinyl and had a clever Star Wars theme to give the impression of depth and space.
  • Three hanging fabric banners for the reception wall and various vinyl lettering were produced for additional brand reinforcement promoting core Marketecture services.
  • The office window located on the corridor had a clear vinyl based design installed. Printed on the reverse, the final finish gave a stained glass effect.


The graphic solutions provided the following benefits:
  • Highly visible wall graphics that enriched Marketecture’s brand colours and designs and which give that ‘wow’ initial impression.
  • Window vinyls that optimised light in but retained privacy from a busy corridor.
  • Hanging banners that will be easy to change in future and which will be cost-effective to replace.
  • Installation was completed during office hours with minimal disruption.
  • The project was delivered and installed on time and within budget.
