Legacy management by Cestrian

Discover how we helped a financial management company refresh relationships with dormant clients and streamline its contact database.

CHALLENGE:

Our client Cullen Wealth, a successful investments business, wanted to reach out to a large number of inactive clients using a quick, polite and relevant mode of contact.

The aim was to inform these clients of new options, helping them manage their finances and get better value. Some were unsure of their current investments; while others were subscribed to pension products or bond schemes that were not well-suited to their current situation, due to either unnecessarily high charges or outdated information.

SOLUTION:

Cestrian set up a dedicated website for Cullen Wealth using our letter generator service.

The company’s client database was securely uploaded, allowing them to target disengaged customers via a simple three-step selection process:
1) Financial service provider.
2) Appropriate letter template – depending on the situation or product, with the ability to edit details.
3) Relevant clients – to whom each letter type would be sent, with personalised features.

This process generated print-ready letters which Cestrian printed, packed and posted on behalf of Cullen Wealth, removing a hefty manual burden.

RESULTS:

Over the course of a year, around 1600 ‘legacy’ customers were contacted, with a fund value of £70m. More than 550 relationships have now been reignited, with a fund value of over £30m.

The process has also helped to cleanse Cullen Wealth’s database, updating details or removing people who no longer wish to be contacted.
